Join a leading Oil & Gas LNG Operating Company in Qatar for the Carbon (CO2) Re-Injection and Dukhan Gas Lift Project (Onshore). This key site-based role, lasting four years with a 5 months on / 2 weeks off rotation, requires a highly experienced QA/QC Engineer specializing in Mechanical and Rotating Equipment. The core mission is to guarantee the quality, integrity, and operational reliability of all mechanical and rotating assets—including pumps, compressors, turbines, and valves—throughout the construction, preccommissioning, and commissioning phases of this major project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a comprehensive range of quality assurance activities, including overseeing installations, testing, and commissioning. This involves conducting various inspections such as visual, dimensional, and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) like UT, MT, PT, and RT. A critical part of the role is ensuring strict adherence to global industry standards, including API, ASME, and ISO, by reviewing critical documentation such as drawings, specifications, ITPs, and QCPs. Furthermore, the engineer will monitor fabrication, welding, PWHT, and hydrotest processes, actively manage noncconformances, and maintain meticulous inspection records and equipment calibration status. The position offers excellent salaries coupled with competitive monthly living allowances.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or related field. 15+ years of experience in major Greenfield/Brownfield Oil  Gas projects (Refinery, LNG/NGL, Petrochemical). Strong knowledge of mechanical systems  rotating equipment. Familiarity with RBI methodologies, CMMS  inspection software. Good time management skills. Physically fit and suitable for field inspections in Dukhan, Qatar. Strong QC knowledge and understanding of project specifications  testing requirements. Ability to work effectively in a multicdisciplinary, multicultural environment. Perform visual, dimensional  NDT inspections (UT, MT, PT, RT). Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO  project quality standards. Preferred certifications: ASNT Level II/III (UT/MT/PT/RT), API 510 / API 670, or API 686.
