The Mwanza Intervention Trials Unit (MITU) is seeking highly motivated Field Coordinators to join its collaborative research team in Mwanza, Tanzania. Key responsibilities include overseeing multiple field teams, ensuring strict adherence to trial protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Coordinators will be responsible for community engagement, providing trial information to leaders and potential participants, and ensuring queries are answered accurately. The role also involves overseeing the handling, storage, and transportation of samples, stock management for teams, and ensuring full compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and documentation standards. Multiple positions are available for candidates with strong leadership skills and a background in clinical research.

Key Requirements

At least 3 years of experience leading clinical or community-based research projects. A degree from a recognized institution in health sciences, social sciences, or a related field. Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Swahili. Proven ability to lead and coordinate multiple field teams effectively in a research setting. In-depth knowledge and understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
