PROGRAM OFFICER – MATERNAL HEALTH (2 POSITIONS) @ THAMINI UHAI
The Program Officer for Maternal Health will lead the implementation of maternal health interventions including ANC, PNC, and EmONC across Katavi and Geita. The primary goal is to strengthen quality improvement systems and clinical practices to ensure respectful and comprehensive maternal care. These positions are integral to Thamini Uhai’s mission of partnering with the government to reduce maternal mortality.
Key duties include supporting the training and mentorship of healthcare workers and monitoring service delivery performance to ensure alignment with national standards. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team environment, collaborating with government partners and regional health management teams. This role requires a professional dedicated to improving health outcomes through strategic clinical interventions and capacity building in rural Tanzania.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in RMNCAH programs.
Specific experience in EmONC, ANC, and PNC clinical practices.
Experience in clinical mentorship and capacity building of health workers.
Ability to strengthen quality improvement systems in a clinical setting.
Proven track record in monitoring service delivery performance.
Experience collaborating with government health partners at various levels.
Strong understanding of national maternal health guidelines.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a healthcare environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and health data management tools.
