The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects throughout the design, engineering, and execution phases. Key duties involve developing and reviewing process design bases, conducting complex process simulations using industry-standard tools like Aspen HYSYS or PRO-II, and preparing critical documentation such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). You will also participate in safety studies including HAZOP and SIL to ensure project integrity and compliance with international standards like API and ASME. Additionally, the role requires close coordination with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical and instrumentation departments, to support equipment sizing and selection. You will review vendor documents, provide technical clarifications, and assist in commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting activities. This position is based in Lagos, Nigeria, and requires the candidate to be available for physical interviews. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in FEED and Detailed Engineering within the energy sector.

Key Requirements

HND/Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projects. Experience in refineries, gas processing plants, LNG, offshore/onshore facilities preferred. Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas / Petrochemical process systems. Hands-on experience with process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or PRO-II.
