SENIOR BUYER - MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL @ PETROEXCELTECH
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Buyer specializing in Mechanical or Electrical procurement for our operations in Lagos, Nigeria. This senior-level position requires extensive hands-on exposure to industrial project purchasing within the Oil and Gas or Fertilizer sectors. You will lead procurement strategies, ensuring that mechanical and electrical items are sourced effectively to meet project timelines and technical specifications. The successful candidate will demonstrate mastery over the P2P process, import logistics, and international payment terms. You will be expected to handle high-value CAPEX procurement and manage complex contract conditions with domestic and international suppliers. Based in our Lagos office, this role includes full sponsorship and an excellent benefits package, reflecting our status as a major conglomerate in the African energy sector.
Key Requirements
Diploma, B.E, or B.Tech. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
1 to 18 years of professional experience in procurement roles.
Strong background in the Oil and Gas, EPC, Power, or Petrochemical industries.
Hands-on exposure to the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.
Proven experience in handling import procurement and international trade logistics.
Solid understanding of Incoterms and international shipping regulations.
Expertise in managing Letters of Credit (LC) and diverse payment terms.
Strong ability to negotiate and interpret complex contract conditions.
Technical proficiency with mechanical or electrical equipment and materials.
Capability to work effectively in an office-based environment in Lagos, Nigeria.
