Africa for Social Change (AFSC) is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Instructor to lead our new English for Parents Project at the Nakivale Refugee Settlement. Key Requirements

Proven proficiency in English language teaching and instruction. Demonstrated experience working with adult learners in an educational setting. High level of cultural sensitivity and empathy for diverse populations, specifically within refugee settlements. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate parent-teacher interactions. Ability to develop, adapt, and implement engaging lesson plans for non-native speakers. A deep commitment to the mission and values of Africa for Social Change (AFSC). Possession of relevant academic degrees or certifications in Education, English, or Linguistics. Proven ability to track, evaluate, and report on student progress and educational outcomes. Flexibility and resilience to work effectively within the environment of a refugee settlement. Previous experience working in the civil society, non-profit, or NGO sector is highly preferred.
