A major opening is available for a Financial Controller to manage financial operations for mining and FMCG projects in Congo. This senior-level position involves overseeing financial reporting, internal controls, and budgeting for large-scale industrial sites. The Financial Controller will be instrumental in ensuring fiscal transparency and compliance with both local Congolese laws and international accounting standards.
The role includes managing a finance team, conducting cost analysis for mining projects, and providing strategic financial advice to the senior management team. Candidates should be comfortable working in a site-based environment and managing complex financial structures across different industries like Mining, Real Estate, and EPC. Key Requirements
Professional certification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA is required.
At least 10 years of experience in financial management, ideally in mining.
Strong expertise in financial reporting and consolidation.
Experience working in the African market, specifically the DR Congo region.
Ability to manage complex budgets for multi-million dollar projects.
Proficient in advanced accounting software and ERP systems.
Knowledge of internal control frameworks and risk management.
Strong leadership and people management skills for a diverse team.
Fluency in English; knowledge of French is a significant advantage.
Strategic thinking ability to drive financial performance and efficiency.
