The Project Officer – Gender Equality, Disability & Social Inclusion (GEDSI) will support critical gender equality and safeguarding programs within the foundation. Responsibilities include conducting impactful GBV (Gender-Based Violence) awareness sessions to educate and empower communities. This role also involves monitoring key gender indicators and actively promoting inclusive programming across all WSF initiatives to ensure equity and participation for all.
This is an internship/volunteer position with Watoto Salama Foundation (WSF), an NGO based in Kasulu, Kigoma. WSF works to protect children and empower youth through programs in education, child protection, gender equality, GBV prevention, livelihoods, nutrition, climate resilience, and community development. While no salary is guaranteed, a stipend may be provided depending on project funding.

Key Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Community Development, Gender Studies, or a related field. Knowledge of gender equality and safeguarding principles is an advantage. Commitment to child protection and community development. Willingness to work actively in the Kigoma Region. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
