Based in Dar es Salaam, the Policy & Advocacy Officer will research, analyze, and monitor policies and legislation relevant to wildlife and natural resource management. They will develop advocacy strategies, prepare policy briefs, and represent CWMAC in various forums to promote community rights and conservation best practices. The role necessitates regular travel to our member Wildlife Management Areas across Tanzania, enabling direct engagement with communities to understand their needs and challenges, and to ensure that advocacy efforts are grounded in local realities. Key Requirements

Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, development, and advocacy, preferably within the conservation or environmental sector. Strong understanding of Tanzanian environmental laws, policies, and governance structures. Exceptional research and analytical skills to assess policy impacts and formulate strategic recommendations. Proficiency in developing clear and concise policy briefs, position papers, and advocacy materials.
