We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer specializing in Steel Structures to join our engineering team based in Kampala, Uganda. This role is pivotal for our steel structure engineering projects, requiring the candidate to develop detailed designs for both steel and Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) structures while ensuring full compliance with industry regulations and standards such as BS and ASME. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex structural analyses and generating technical documentation to support large-scale construction projects.
Beyond design, the engineer will bridge the gap between the design office and the production floor. You will be expected to prepare precise Bills of Materials (BOMs) for budgeting purposes, coordinate closely with detailing teams, and oversee production and erection planning.
