A leading Steel & Structure company in Africa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced PEB Design Engineer to join their team in Uganda. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design and analysis of Pre-Engineered Buildings, specifically focusing on industrial structures and warehouses. This role requires a deep understanding of structural integrity and the ability to utilize advanced design software to ensure all projects meet safety and quality standards. The salary for this position is between 1400 USD and 1700 USD per month, depending on the candidate's performance during the interview process. Key responsibilities include managing structural analysis, preparing detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and overseeing the design of G+1 and G+2 structures. The ideal candidate must have at least 8 years of experience and be an expert in STAAD.Pro. Key Requirements
Expert level proficiency in STAAD.Pro software for structural design and analysis.
A minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering.
Extensive practical experience in the Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) and Steel Structure industry.
Proven track record in designing high-quality warehouses and industrial buildings.
Specific design experience with G+1 and G+2 multi-level structural systems.
Comprehensive knowledge of structural analysis methodologies and BOQ preparation.
Ability to interpret complex architectural drawings and translate them into engineering designs.
Familiarity with international building codes and specific regional standards for Africa.
Excellent technical report writing and documentation skills for project feasibility.
Strong communication skills to facilitate coordination with site teams and management.
