Talantah Solution is seeking two dedicated and energetic Operations Officers specializing in loose cargo to join our team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of cargo handling at the port, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met and operations run smoothly. Key duties include following up on cargo releases with various authorities such as TBS, GCLA, and TRA, as well as supervising the physical loading and gate-out processes at the port facilities to maintain efficiency.

Furthermore, the role involves heavy coordination between drivers and warehouse personnel to streamline logistics and ensure timely deliveries. Accuracy is paramount, as the officers must record detailed evidence for any damaged cargo and address daily operational challenges as they arise to prevent delays. This is a critical role that ensures the integrity and efficiency of our loose cargo operations within the bustling port environment of Dar es Salaam, requiring a proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder management.

Key Requirements

Male candidate between the ages of 22 and 35 years. Must possess a Diploma or higher educational qualification in a relevant field. Extensive experience specifically in loose cargo clearance processes is mandatory. In-depth knowledge of port operations and gate-out procedures. Ability to effectively follow up on cargo release with authorities like TBS, GCLA, and TRA. Strong coordination skills to manage communication between drivers and warehouse staff. Capability to supervise loading activities and ensure proper gate-out protocols at the port. Meticulous record-keeping skills for documenting evidence of damaged cargo. Proven problem-solving skills to handle daily operational issues efficiently. Existing connections within the transportation sector is considered a significant added advantage.
