We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Manager or Manager for Sportswear Production to join our manufacturing operations in Uganda. This role is pivotal for leading end-to-end manufacturing processes and supporting the strategic setup of new sportswear and printed garment production lines. The successful candidate will oversee the entire lifecycle of activewear production, focusing on technical excellence and operational efficiency.

The position involves managing complex shop floor operations, including production planning and machine utilization monitoring. You will be responsible for implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), driving quality improvement, and spearheading waste reduction initiatives. A deep technical understanding of sublimation, heat transfer, and digital textile printing is essential to troubleshoot issues and optimize production costs effectively.

Key Requirements

12–15 years of professional experience in sportswear or apparel manufacturing. Hands-on expertise in the production of printed T-shirts and technical activewear. Profound knowledge of Sublimation Printing, Heat Transfer Printing, and Digital Textile Printing technologies. Demonstrated experience in setting up and stabilizing new manufacturing production lines. Technical expertise in printing machines, ink types, transfer paper, and fabric parameters.
