The Financial Controller will serve as a strategic finance partner for Aquahub Zanzibar Ltd., a social enterprise focused on sea cucumber mariculture in Pemba, Tanzania. The role involves overseeing the financial architecture, monitoring farm performance, and ensuring the company remains on a trajectory of sustainable growth and profitability. The successful candidate will report directly to the Country General Manager and the Group Finance & Administrative Director to align local operations with global conservation goals.

In addition to financial oversight, this role requires managing budgeting processes, cash flow projections, and internal controls to support the company's operational needs. The candidate will be based in South Africa but must be willing to conduct frequent travel to Pemba, Zanzibar, to engage with site-level teams, optimize procurement policies, and ensure strict compliance with international financial standards.

Key Requirements

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Management Control. 5+ years of professional experience in financial control, management, or auditing. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and budgeting techniques. High degree of comfort and skill with ERP systems and advanced Excel. Ability to work autonomously in field-based or remote operational environments.
