We are seeking an experienced Mainframe L2 Support Engineer for a high-impact role based in Alpharetta, GA. This position is strictly focused on End-to-End (E2E) batch testing and support within a Pre-Production environment. The core focus of this role involves hands-on management of the CA7 Scheduler, where you will be responsible for overseeing batch cycles, scheduling LPARs, and executing critical runs to ensure system stability.

As part of the L2 support team, your day-to-day activities will include monitoring jobs, resolving batch issues, and managing job and dataset triggers. This is a 100% onsite role requiring a mandatory five-day office presence. Candidates must be prepared for a Face-to-Face interview in either Alpharetta, GA, or Edison, NJ. Please note that this role is focused on operations and support, with no development responsibilities involved.

Key Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with CA7 including Monitoring and Job Triggers. Proficiency in JCL (Job Control Language) for mainframe operations. Demonstrated experience with COBOL for troubleshooting batch processes. In-depth knowledge of VSAM file management and DB2 database operations. Ability to manage batch cycles and execute runs in a Pre-Prod environment. Experience in Queue Management and handling Dataset Triggers. Must be a US Citizen, Green Card holder, or have valid EAD (H4/L2/TN) authorization. Willingness to work 100% onsite in Alpharetta, GA, five days per week. Availability for a mandatory Face-to-Face (F2F) interview in Alpharetta or Edison. Proven track record in L2 support and resolving complex batch issues. Strong analytical skills to monitor and optimize LPAR scheduling.
