We are looking for a vigilant and friendly Pool Attendant to manage our pool area at Maisha Matamu Boutique in Paje Beach, Zanzibar. The Pool Attendant is responsible for the safety and comfort of guests enjoying our water facilities, ensuring the area remains a serene and clean environment. This role involves regular maintenance of the pool deck, monitoring water quality, and providing exceptional service to guests as they relax by the serenity of the white sands.
As part of our commitment to sustainability and authentic experiences, the Pool Attendant will also assist in maintaining the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. You will work in a team that values ethical practices and the support of the local community. The role requires a candidate who is physically fit and capable of working in an outdoor island setting while maintaining the high standards expected of a luxury boutique destination.
Key Requirements
Bachelor degree in Hospitality Business Administration or equivalent.
3 - 5 years of experience in pool maintenance or life-guarding.
Proficiency in water chemistry and pool cleaning procedures.
Excellent physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor environments.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Swahili or another language is a plus.
