SENIOR PROGRAMME OFFICER – FOOD SECURITY & AGRICULTURE (1 POSITION) @ SOUTHERN AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY (SADC) SECRETARIAT
The Southern African Development Community (SADC) Secretariat is seeking a Senior Programme Officer for Food Security & Agriculture. This role is central to promoting regional integration and economic development across Southern Africa. The officer will be responsible for overseeing initiatives related to food security, agriculture, and socio-economic advancement, ensuring that regional protocols are effectively implemented and harmonized across member states. The position involves high-level strategic planning and coordination with regional stakeholders to ensure food sustainability and agricultural growth.
This position is a fixed-term contract of four years, renewable twice based on performance and organizational needs. Candidates will work from the SADC Secretariat, with the recruitment process coordinated through the President’s Office – Public Service Management and Good Governance in Dodoma, Tanzania. The role offers a competitive salary package between US$ 93,097.00 and US$ 99,643.00 per annum.
