Our client, a global leader in specialty chemicals for the mining, water treatment, oil & gas, and industrial sectors, is seeking to recruit a highly experienced and commercially driven East Africa Business Development Engineer. The primary objective of this role is to lead business growth and market penetration across Tanzania and Kenya, with potential travel required across the wider East Africa region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, providing expert technical support, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will conduct customer site visits, deliver technical presentations, and lead product trials to ensure customer satisfaction and operational success. This is a critical leadership role for an individual looking to drive impactful industrial solutions within the region.

Key Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering. Minimum of 10 years' experience in business development or technical sales in the mining, water treatment, or industrial chemicals sectors. Solid understanding of mining operations and industrial chemical processes. Proven track record in managing key customer relationships and lead generation. Prior professional experience working within the East African market.
