Red Envelope is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Business Unit Head – Fleet Operations to lead a large-scale fleet operation in Arusha, Tanzania. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional who can take full ownership of all aspects of fleet management, driving strategic initiatives to ensure operational excellence and financial performance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of our transport operations, focusing on efficiency, safety, and innovation within our extensive fleet.
The Business Unit Head will be responsible for overseeing critical areas including fleet profitability and rigorous cost optimization strategies, ensuring robust vehicle maintenance and workshop excellence, and providing strong leadership to a large operational team. A key aspect of this role involves leveraging advanced monitoring technologies such as GPS, CCTV, and telematics to enhance fleet efficiency and implement continuous operational improvements. The ideal candidate will possess 10-15+ years of extensive experience in fleet and transport operations, bringing a wealth of knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving and strategic development in a demanding environment.
