HR World Limited is seeking qualified Electrical Engineers for an on-site role in Tanga, Tanzania, within the automotive industry. The successful candidates will be responsible for overseeing comprehensive maintenance activities, including Preventive, Predictive, and Corrective maintenance, to ensure the operational reliability of large Caterpillar generator systems. This role operates within a demanding 24/7 power generation environment, requiring constant monitoring of generator alarms, SMU, and system malfunctions to maintain peak performance and efficiency. In addition to technical duties, the engineers will drive reliability improvement initiatives through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure prevention strategies. They will be expected to provide condition monitoring inputs, lead system diagnosis, and support both minor and major repair activities. Candidates will work closely with management to execute maintenance safely and efficiently while optimizing load control for maximum system output in the Tanga region.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Power/Energy Engineering. Minimum of 5–7 years of experience working with large Caterpillar generators or in a power generation environment. Mandatory professional and proficient knowledge of Caterpillar large generator systems. Proven experience in generator system operation, diagnosis, and repair activities. Strong leadership and decision-making skills in a high-pressure environment.
