Our travel and tourism client in Cape Town is seeking an exceptional Senior Travel Consultant to join their team. This role involves designing, quoting, and managing high-quality travel itineraries throughout South Africa and the Southern Africa region. You will be responsible for creating bespoke experiences for FIT, groups, luxury, or incentive travel, ensuring a high level of service and attention to detail. Salary is market-related plus excellent commission.
Key responsibilities include client and agent relationship management, travel planning, and itinerary design. You will also handle quoting, reservations, and operations coordination while managing supplier relationships. This position requires a professional with extensive knowledge of safari destinations, hotels, lodges, and tour activities to deliver exceptional travel solutions and administration reporting.
Key Requirements
7-10 years plus experience in travel consulting or as an inbound tour operator.
Proven experience creating tailor-made itineraries for FIT and luxury travel.
Deep knowledge of hotels, lodges, and safari destinations in Southern Africa.
Strong experience in quoting and reservation systems for the travel industry.
Excellent relationship management skills for working with clients and agents.
