Bizoonline Africa, through BOL HR Consultants, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Declaration Officer to join their team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end customs clearance process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with Tanzanian regulations. This role requires a professional who can navigate the complexities of port authorities and shipping procedures to ensure timely delivery of cargo and minimize delays. Salary Range: TZS 1,500,000 – TZS 1,800,000 gross per month (depending on experience). The officer will utilize the TANCIS system to process declarations and coordinate closely with regulatory bodies and port authorities. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of logistics workflows and possess the ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. This is a full-time position focused on streamlining logistics operations and ensuring regulatory compliance across all shipping activities in the region.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Clearing & Forwarding, or a related field.
Proven track record in handling customs clearance and documentation processes.
In-depth knowledge of port operations and shipping procedures specifically within Tanzania.
Strong proficiency in using TANCIS (Tanzania Customs Integrated System).
Excellent understanding of regulatory compliance and local customs laws.
