DECLARATION OFFICER @ BIZOONLINE AFRICA
Bizoonline Africa, through BOL HR Consultants, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Declaration Officer to join their team in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end customs clearance process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with Tanzanian regulations. This role requires a professional who can navigate the complexities of port authorities and shipping procedures to ensure timely delivery of cargo and minimize delays. Salary Range: TZS 1,500,000 – TZS 1,800,000 gross per month (depending on experience). The officer will utilize the TANCIS system to process declarations and coordinate closely with regulatory bodies and port authorities. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of logistics workflows and possess the ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. This is a full-time position focused on streamlining logistics operations and ensuring regulatory compliance across all shipping activities in the region.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Clearing & Forwarding, or a related field.
Proven track record in handling customs clearance and documentation processes.
In-depth knowledge of port operations and shipping procedures specifically within Tanzania.
Strong proficiency in using TANCIS (Tanzania Customs Integrated System).
Excellent understanding of regulatory compliance and local customs laws.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple clearance tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with port authorities and clients.
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure error-free documentation and declarations.
Advanced analytical skills to troubleshoot logistics and supply chain bottlenecks.
