SALES MANAGER – FMCG (EDIBLE OILS) @ YRCS
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Manager to spearhead our Edible Oils division in Dodoma, Tanzania. The successful candidate will be responsible for building the market from the ground up, focusing on driving revenue growth and achieving ambitious sales targets. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies across diverse channels, including General Trade (wholesalers and Kirana stores), Modern Trade (supermarkets), and the HORECA sector (Hotels, Restaurants, and Catering).
Beyond strategy development, the Sales Manager will play a crucial role in expanding our distributor network across Tanzania and managing key client relationships. You will be expected to hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing sales team while monitoring competitive activities to ensure brand visibility and market penetration. Key Requirements
At least 8 years of professional experience in FMCG sales.
Specific experience in the edible oil category or a closely related FMCG sector is highly preferred.
In-depth understanding and experience with General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and Local Modern Trade (LMT) channels.
Proven experience managing and growing sales within the HORECA sector.
Previous working experience in Tanzania or the broader East Africa region is a distinct advantage.
Demonstrated ability to build and scale business operations from scratch.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to hire, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
Excellent relationship management skills to build and maintain partnerships with distributors and key accounts.
Self-driven and result-oriented with a proactive 'go-getter' attitude.
Strong analytical skills to monitor market trends and competitor activities effectively.
