REINSURANCE OFFICER @ WORK MASTERY
Our client is a fast-growing insurance company seeking a Reinsurance Officer to handle all reinsurance responsibilities for the company. You will play a critical role in monitoring all the reinsurance arrangements including treaty and facultative reinsurance protection for all classes of business written by the company in line with company’s operating manuals. The role involves analyzing risks accepted to ensure they are yielded properly and obtaining all necessary underwriting information required to place risks in the reinsurance market. You will also be responsible for monitoring the timely submission of closing and accounting documents, as well as the settlement of premium recovery claims. Additionally, the position requires performing reconciliation of premium billing statements, WHT tax calculations, and maintaining various reinsurance registers to provide guidance to underwriting, claims, and finance teams.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance & Risk Management or a related field.
Professional insurance certification (Certificate CII) or equivalent.
Reinsurance certificate.
Highly organized, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
Practical, proactive, and comfortable wearing multiple hats.
Analyse risks accepted and ensure risks are yielded properly.
Obtain all necessary underwriting information required to place the risk in the reinsurance market.
Arrange proper reinsurance protection as and when required.
Monitor timely submission of closing and accounting documents.
Perform reconciliation of premium billing statements and WHT tax calculations.
