BIODIVERSITY MONITORING MANAGER @ WCS TANZANIA
WCS Tanzania seeks a Biodiversity Monitoring Manager to lead our technical efforts in tracking wildlife populations and ecosystem health. This position will be responsible for overseeing biodiversity data acquisition, processing, and management to inform our conservation management decisions. The candidate will work closely with research partners and internal teams to provide scientific rigor to our conservation projects.
Key Requirements
Master or PhD in Ecology, Zoology, Wildlife Biology, or related field
Significant experience in wildlife monitoring techniques and remote sensing
Strong technical skills in data processing and biological statistical modeling
Proven experience leading field research teams in remote environments
Knowledge of international biodiversity conservation standards
Strong publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals
Experience managing databases and large-scale datasets
Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Capacity to work with partners in academic and government sectors
Strong alignment with organizational biodiversity conservation mission
