CHIEF CREDIT OFFICER @ UBA GROUP
We are seeking an experienced Chief Credit Officer to lead the Bank's credit risk management function. The successful candidate will develop and implement credit policies, safeguard the loan portfolio, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain strong credit governance while balancing risk and profitability. This role is based in Dar Es Salaam.
The officer will manage the full credit lifecycle, from initial approvals to monitoring, collections, and recoveries. They will lead and develop teams in credit analysis and administration, ensuring accurate reporting and portfolio quality while promoting a strong credit culture throughout the bank.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or Economics
Extensive experience in credit risk management within the banking sector
Strong knowledge of banking regulations and credit policies
Proficiency in risk management frameworks
Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
Advanced analytical and decision-making skills
Experience in loan portfolio management and recoveries
Understanding of credit administration processes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in reporting and loan documentation
