TEAM LEAD, AGRICULTURE @ UBA BANK TANZANIA
UBA Bank Tanzania is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Team Lead to spearhead the Corporate and Commercial Banking business specifically within the Agriculture sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, managing key client relationships, and ensuring the profitability of the agriculture portfolio. This role involves proactive client acquisition, rigorous credit quality management, and the development of integrated banking solutions tailored to the needs of agricultural enterprises.
Beyond managing a portfolio, the Team Lead will provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Relationship Managers and Officers, fostering a culture of high performance and compliance. You will analyze industry trends, monitor risk assets, and ensure that all banking operations align with UBA Bank's stringent credit policies and performance standards. This position is based in Dar es Salaam and requires a deep understanding of the Tanzanian agricultural business landscape.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or social sciences.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a commercial banking environment.
Demonstrated expertise in credit risk management and financial analysis.
Proven track record in business development and client acquisition within the agriculture sector.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage teams effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement.
In-depth knowledge of banking regulations, products, and operational policies.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities for portfolio assessment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software systems.
Ability to work under pressure and meet ambitious financial targets.
