Top Talented Recruits is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Declaration Officer to join a leading logistics firm in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all customs declaration processes, ensuring that all imports and exports comply with Tanzanian customs regulations. This role requires a meticulous individual who can navigate the complexities of international trade and maintain efficient operations within the supply chain.
Key responsibilities include classifying goods using HS Codes, processing entries through the TANCIS system, and coordinating with the Tanzania Revenue Authority. You will work closely with the clearing and forwarding team to facilitate the smooth movement of goods. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in the industry and a deep understanding of the local regulatory environment, contributing to the overall success of the logistics operations.

Key Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Clearing & Forwarding, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in customs declaration or clearing & forwarding.
Strong knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
Solid understanding of HS Code classification.
Hands-on experience using customs declaration systems (e.g., TANCIS).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data management.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation.
Strong communication skills for interacting with customs officials and clients.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Deep understanding of international trade terms (Incoterms).
