PROGRAM OFFICER – MATERNAL HEALTH (2 POSITIONS) @ THAMINI UHAI
This role focuses on supporting maternal health interventions including Antenatal Care (ANC), Postnatal Care (PNC), and Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (EmONC) within the regions of Katavi and Geita. The Program Officer will work to strengthen the quality of care and service delivery, ensuring that maternal health services meet national standards and are accessible to those in need at the community and facility levels.
Responsibilities include supporting program planning, monitoring progress, and building the capacity of health workers through continuous training and mentorship. By collaborating with local health authorities and government systems, the officer will ensure the successful implementation of maternal health strategies and contribute to the overall reduction of maternal morbidity and mortality in the targeted regions.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s in Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, or related field.
Minimum 5 years’ RMNCAH experience.
Experience in maternal health programs and government systems.
Expertise in Antenatal Care (ANC) protocols.
Knowledge of Postnatal Care (PNC) standards.
Proficient in Emergency Obstetric and Newborn Care (EmONC).
Ability to strengthen service delivery systems at the facility level.
Experience in program planning and performance monitoring.
Strong capacity-building skills for frontline health workers.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
