LEGAL OFFICER @ SIMPLEPAY CAPITAL
SimplePay Capital is seeking a dedicated and professional Legal Officer to join our Collections/Operations department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s legal recovery processes, specifically focusing on defaulted loan accounts. This role involves coordinating litigation activities, ensuring accurate and timely court filings, and overseeing debt recovery efforts to protect the company's legal and financial interests.
The Legal Officer will work closely with Branch Managers and Collections Officers to execute legal strategies and resolve defaulted accounts efficiently. Beyond court appearances, the position requires maintaining meticulous records, preparing detailed legal reports, and ensuring that all company operations strictly adhere to Tanzanian laws and regulatory requirements. This is a full-time position offering an opportunity to work within a growing financial institution.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B)
Advocate’s Practising Certificate
Minimum 2 years of experience in legal practice, litigation, and debt recovery
Proficiency in Tanzanian court processes and civil litigation procedures
Strong report writing and communication skills in English and Swahili
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Experience in financial or microfinance institutions
Proven ability to manage multiple legal cases and meet strict court deadlines
High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct
Strong negotiation skills to facilitate out-of-court settlements
