CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO) – STEEL @ SELECT GLOBAL SOLUTIONS
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Steel division in Ethiopia will be responsible for driving plant performance across production, maintenance, and supply chain management. The focus of this role is on cost optimization and operational excellence to ensure the plant operates at peak efficiency while meeting all safety and quality standards. As a key member of the leadership team, the COO will provide strategic direction for the manufacturing facilities in Ethiopia. This includes implementing best practices in production planning and maintenance, as well as optimizing the supply chain to support the company's growth and profitability goals in the region.
Key Requirements
At least 15 years of experience in industrial operations, specifically steel.
Demonstrated success in plant management and operational excellence.
Deep expertise in production planning and maintenance systems.
Strong background in supply chain and logistics optimization.
Strategic leadership experience at an executive level.
Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
Proven ability to implement cost-saving initiatives.
Knowledge of Ethiopian labor and industrial regulations.
Exceptional people management and team development skills.
Strong financial acumen and P&L management experience.
