SALES MANAGER – FMCG (EDIBLE OILS) @ RED ENVELOPE
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to spearhead our edible oil operations in Dodoma, Tanzania. This role is pivotal for an individual looking to lead market expansion from the ground up within the FMCG sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving ambitious sales targets, developing comprehensive strategies across General Trade, Modern Trade, and HORECA channels, and building a robust distributor network throughout the region, including various locations across Tanzania. The role involves managing key client relationships, hiring and training a dedicated sales team, and increasing brand visibility to ensure strong market penetration in the competitive edible oils industry. The ideal candidate should possess a go-getter attitude and a strong ownership mindset, capable of working independently to build operations from zero. Key Requirements
5–7 years of experience in FMCG sales
Experience in edible oil or similar category preferred
Strong understanding of GT, MT, LMT, and HORECA channels
Experience in Tanzania / East Africa is a plus
Proven ability to build and scale business operations
Self-driven, result-oriented, and hands-on
Ability to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth
Strong leadership skills to hire and train a sales team
Excellent strategic thinking for developing market penetration plans
Capability to manage key client relationships and partnerships
