A new boutique hotel opening soon in Zanzibar is seeking an experienced Bakery Chef to lead the pastry and bakery section of our food and beverage operations. We are looking for someone with a passion for high-quality culinary arts to craft exceptional experiences for our guests.
This role is based in Zanzibar, Tanzania, and we invite expatriates with a solid background in luxury resorts or boutique properties to apply. You will be responsible for menu development, managing bakery staff, and maintaining high food safety standards during the pre-opening phase.

Key Requirements
Formal culinary or bakery qualification
5+ years of bakery or pastry experience
Experience in boutique hotels or luxury resorts
International or expatriate work experience
In-depth knowledge of international pastry techniques
Understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
Creativity in menu planning and recipe development
Ability to manage inventory and food costs
Strong leadership and training skills for kitchen staff
Capacity to work under pressure in a new property
