SALES EXECUTIVE @ PLANET-LODGES
Planet Lodges is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Executive to drive revenue growth across Lairs & Planet Lodges. Based in Arusha, the successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for domestic tour operators, travel advisors, and corporate clients. This role requires an individual with deep roots in the Tanzania tourism and safari landscape, capable of building lasting professional relationships and converting leads into consistent, high-value bookings. You will report directly to the Business Development Manager and collaborate with a focused, commercially-driven team to meet organizational goals.
The core responsibilities involve identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing an accurate sales pipeline, and providing timely proposals to enquiries. You will represent the brand at various trade events and family trips, ensuring that the value proposition of each property—including rates, availability, and guest experiences—is communicated compellingly. Beyond sales, you will coordinate with reservations and operations teams to ensure seamless guest transitions and provide market intelligence to inform pricing and product strategy to maintain a competitive edge in the hospitality market.

Key Requirements
4 to 6 years of sales experience in the Tanzania tourism, safari, or hospitality sector.
Solid understanding of the Tanzania safari and travel trade landscape.
Fluent in both Swahili and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships and close sales effectively.
Based in or willing to be based in Arusha, Tanzania.
Existing professional relationships within the domestic tour operator or travel advisor market.
Experience selling premium or high-end safari or lodge products.
Familiarity with reservations or CRM systems, specifically ResRequest.
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working towards strict revenue targets.
Strong analytical skills to share market intelligence and client feedback for strategy alignment.
