MSI Tanzania, a leading provider of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) services, is seeking a qualified individual for a short-term LOCUM position as an HMIS and M&E Officer. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and functionality of digital health information systems, specifically CLIC+, ORION, and PETRAS, which support our nationwide outreach teams and public health facilities. The successful candidate will provide critical technical support, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure that data reporting processes remain accurate, timely, and compliant with organizational standards. The HMIS and M&E Officer will report directly to the HMIS, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager. Key responsibilities include providing technical assistance to Outreach and Embedded Nurses, conducting system maintenance and upgrades, and managing data quality assessments. The role requires an individual who is capable of working flexibly to address technical challenges, including those occurring during weekends and public holidays, to ensure the smooth operational flow of our digital health platforms.

Key Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum of two years of hands-on experience in IT support and systems administration. Proven experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware and software. Experience in managing or supporting health management information systems (HMIS). Strong skills in data verification, validation, and cleaning processes. Proficiency in network management and software maintenance. Ability to develop user guides and provide effective training to non-technical users. Capability to work effectively after normal business hours, including weekends and holidays. Excellent analytical skills to conduct data quality assessments and reporting. Commitment to safeguarding principles for children and vulnerable adults.
