AGRICULTURE LABOUR PRACTICE TECHNICIAN (ALP TECHNICIAN) – 4 POSITIONS @ MKWAWA LEAF TOBACCO LIMITED (MLTL)
Mkwawa Leaf Tobacco Limited (MLTL) is seeking dedicated Agriculture Labour Practice (ALP) Technicians to join their team in Urambo. The primary focus of this role is to train farmers and various stakeholders on Agricultural Labor Practices to ensure ethical and legal standards are maintained within the tobacco supply chain. Technicians will be responsible for collecting critical farm data, monitoring assigned farmers, and coordinating with Sector ALP Supervisors to manage prompt actions efficiently through systems like CroMIS. The role involves significant field-based work, documentation, and reporting to ensure social compliance initiatives are successful.
Candidates will work closely with GAP Technicians and field teams to facilitate training sessions on social and labor-related practices. This includes tracking and documenting resolutions to raised actions and preparing comprehensive weekly and monthly reports. The position requires a candidate who is comfortable working in rural environments and can liaise effectively with community members and local stakeholders to promote adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Requirements
Diploma in Human Resource Management, Sociology, Public Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in community development, planning, or social outreach programs.
Strong computer literacy, particularly with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent training and facilitation skills for farmer education.
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management.
Valid motorbike driving license for field travel.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively to project sites.
Willingness to live and work in remote rural areas.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to solve problems independently.
Ability to collaborate effectively across different departments.
