Meru Agro-Tours & Consultants Co. Ltd (MATCC) is seeking three dedicated Sales Officers to join their zonal teams in various regions across Tanzania. The company specializes in agricultural seeds, agrochemicals, fertilizers, and equipment, and these roles are pivotal in expanding their market reach. The successful candidates will be responsible for conducting sales trips and meeting sales targets as per company plans while securing sales orders and establishing long-term relationships with customers. Possible work locations include Bariadi, Songea, and Mbeya, and applicants should specify their duty station of interest in their application letters. The roles involve significant field work and require individuals who are comfortable driving light trucks to facilitate product distribution and customer visits. Candidates will also be expected to prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales progress reports to their respective Zonal Managers. Key Requirements
At least 2 years of work experience as a sales person cum driver in a reputable company.
Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Extensions, or Agri-business.
Proven experience in driving light trucks for commercial or distribution purposes.
A valid driving license class E is an absolute requirement for this position.
Ability to conduct extensive sales trips and meet predefined sales targets.
Strong skills in securing sales orders and building customer loyalty.
Competency in preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly sales progress reports.
In-depth knowledge of agro seeds, agrochemicals, and agricultural equipment.
Self-driven personality with the ability to work independently in the field.
Effective communication skills for interacting with farmers and agricultural stakeholders.
