ZONAL AGRONOMIST (1 POST) @ MERU AGRO-TOURS & CONSULTANTS CO. LTD (MATCC)
The Zonal Agronomist position involves leading regional marketing activities and coordinating marketing teams across various locations in Tanzania. Based in Arusha but requiring regional travel, you will act as a vital link between farmers and agro-dealers, promoting MATCC’s high-quality seeds and agrochemical products. Your technical expertise will be crucial in providing advisory services and supervising field demonstrations that highlight our innovative agricultural solutions. This is a leadership role that requires strong coordination skills and a deep understanding of the Tanzanian agricultural landscape. You will work to expand our reach and ensure that farmers have access to the inputs they need to succeed. The role involves managing relationships with local stakeholders and ensuring that our regional placement strategy is executed effectively to drive growth and support sustainable farming practices.
Key Requirements
Degree in Agriculture or a related field of study.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in agronomy or agricultural marketing.
Valid driving license (Class D) and ability to travel.
Experience in leading and managing regional marketing activities.
Ability to coordinate and supervise marketing teams effectively.
Skills in linking farmers with agro-dealers and stakeholders.
Extensive knowledge of crop production and seed multiplication.
Experience with agrochemical application and safety standards.
Provision of technical advisory services to farming communities.
Ability to work in various regional locations as needed.
