Melia Zanzibar is looking for an experienced Chef De Partie to join our world-class culinary team in Tanzania. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a specific kitchen section, ensuring that all food preparation and presentation meet our 5-star luxury standards consistently. You will work closely with the kitchen management to oversee daily operations and maintain a seamless flow of service. As a Chef De Partie, you will also play a key role in supervising and mentoring junior staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment. Your focus will include strict adherence to HACCP standards, hygiene protocols, and food safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both guests and staff. Additionally, you will be involved in stock control and cost management, helping to minimize waste while maintaining the highest quality of ingredients. Key Requirements
Culinary qualification or equivalent professional experience
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role
Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
Proven leadership and staff supervision abilities
In-depth knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards
Advanced understanding of kitchen operations and flow
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure 5-star hotel environment
Experience in stock management and cost control
Excellent attention to detail in food presentation
