CORPORATE GOVERNANCE MANAGER - 1 POSITION @ MAKTECH
Maktech is seeking a highly motivated Corporate Governance Manager, preferably a female candidate, to join their leadership team in Dar es Salaam. This pivotal role involves working directly under the Chief Executive Officer to ensure the company operates within a robust corporate governance framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing human resources management, ensuring full legal compliance, and managing both contracts and legal cases to protect the company's interests.
Beyond compliance, the manager will play a key role in supporting the implementation of the company’s strategic objectives. This includes providing leadership in negotiation and conflict resolution, managing subcontractor relationships, and leveraging deep knowledge of Tanzanian labor and corporate laws. Candidates with a background in the telecommunications industry and a track record of strategic thinking are highly encouraged to apply for this leadership position.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in HR, legal, or corporate governance roles.
At least 5 years of experience specifically within a well-established Telecommunication Company.
Strong and up-to-date knowledge of Tanzanian labour and corporate laws.
Demonstrated ability in strategic thinking and the implementation of strategic objectives.
Strong leadership and effective people management skills.
Proven expertise in legal compliance, contract management, and case management.
Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
Experience in subcontractor oversight and monitoring performance standards.
Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., HR, Governance, Legal Practice) is an added advantage.
