RELATIONSHIP MANAGER – TRADE FINANCE @ MAENDELEO BANK
The Relationship Manager – Trade Finance at Maendeleo Bank is a strategic role focused on the growth and management of the Bank’s trade finance portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring and retaining corporate and SME customers involved in both local and international trade. By offering structured trade solutions and deepening existing customer relationships, the manager will play a key role in increasing non-funded income while ensuring that all activities align with the Bank's risk management framework and internal policies.
In addition to business development, the role involves conducting comprehensive financial analyses and preparing credit proposals for trade finance facilities. The Relationship Manager must ensure that all transactions comply with international ICC trade rules, AML/CFT guidelines, and Central Bank regulations. The position requires close coordination with internal departments to facilitate smooth transaction processing and the delivery of exceptional customer service to maintain the bank's competitive edge in the financial market.

Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
Possession of professional banking or trade finance certification is an added advantage.
Deep understanding of international trade finance products, such as Letters of Credit and Guarantees.
Proven experience in credit analysis and the interpretation of complex financial statements.
Extensive knowledge of ICC trade rules and local banking regulatory frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to acquire new customers and expand existing business relationships.
Ability to prepare and present detailed credit proposals for trade finance facilities.
Strong understanding of AML/CFT guidelines and internal control mechanisms.
Experience in coordinating with internal teams for transaction processing and documentation.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for cross-selling various banking services.
