BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER @ LOLC TANZANIA
The Business Development Officer at LOLC Tanzania will be responsible for driving sustainable loan portfolio growth through the identification and conversion of high-potential loan opportunities, particularly focusing on car loans and related financial products. The role emphasizes achieving monthly sales and loan disbursement targets while maintaining 100% collection efficiency and high portfolio quality. Beyond sales, the officer will conduct comprehensive credit assessments, evaluate clients, and structure loans to ensure minimal risk. They will also be expected to provide market intelligence to inform business strategy and mentor junior staff members to foster a productive and customer-centric environment in the Dar es Salaam region.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within financial institutions
Strong knowledge of car loans or similar lending products
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strong ability to build client relationships and trust
Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and proven track record of achieving sales goals
Proficient in conducting comprehensive credit assessments and client evaluation
Ability to monitor and manage loan portfolios to ensure high collection efficiency
Skilled in providing market insights and intelligence to support business strategy
Capacity to mentor and support junior officers to enhance team productivity
