FINANCE OFFICER @ KUWAPAY
Kuwa Pay is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our growing fintech team in Dar es Salaam. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in financial services, mobile money, telecom, PSP, or payment-related operations. As a Finance Officer, you will be a key part of the operations team, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and that the company remains in full compliance with Tanzanian financial regulations.
The role involves significant interaction with external partners including banks, mobile money operators, and the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA). You will be responsible for complex financial reconciliations, payroll processing, and the management of statutory payments such as social security and health insurance. This position requires an individual who can work independently and effectively manage strict deadlines to avoid government penalties. Cross-border payment experience is considered a significant added advantage.

Key Requirements
2 to 3+ years of relevant finance experience.
Prior experience working within a financial institution, mobile money operator, telecom operator, or PSP.
Good understanding of mobile payment-related taxes and general corporate tax obligations.
Familiarity with TRA communication, government payment deadlines, and statutory filing dates.
Ability to communicate and write fluently in English.
Strong communication skills when dealing with banks, operators, and external partners.
A strong sense of responsibility and exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Proficiency in calculating payroll and handling statutory payments including social security and payroll taxes.
Ability to work independently and manage the reconciliation of complex transaction records.
