Kituo Cha Sheria is seeking a dedicated Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Officer to join our team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening data-driven impact, ensuring organizational accountability, and fostering a culture of learning across all our human rights and legal aid programmes. You will be responsible for designing and implementing MEL frameworks that track project progress and measure the long-term outcomes of our initiatives. This role is essential for providing the evidence-based insights needed to drive meaningful change in the communities we serve.

In this hybrid position, you will collaborate closely with various department heads to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data. Your expertise will help in refining our strategies and ensuring that all programs align with our core mission of promoting justice for the poor and marginalized. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing complex datasets and translating them into actionable reports for stakeholders and donors. Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, International Development, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL). Proven experience working within the NGO or human rights sector. Proficiency in data collection tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, or SurveyCTO. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SPSS, Stata, or R. Experience in developing MEL frameworks, logical models, and theories of change. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to present data to diverse stakeholders. Strong understanding of human rights-based approaches and legal programming. Ability to conduct both quantitative and qualitative data analysis effectively. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple project deadlines. Capacity to work in a hybrid environment and conduct field visits when necessary.
