You will manage the entire purchasing lifecycle, from identifying reliable vendors to negotiating long-term contracts and monitoring supplier performance.
Candidates must be adept at market research, cost-benefit analysis, and maintaining inventory levels to support production requirements. You will work closely with finance and production teams to ensure that all procurement activities are cost-effective and compliant with internal quality audits. Key Requirements
Minimum 6 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing.
Demonstrated expertise in negotiation with international and local vendors.
Deep understanding of the steel or manufacturing supply chain.
Proven ability to reduce operational costs through effective sourcing strategies.
Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP software.
Ability to conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities.
Exceptional skills in contract management and legal compliance.
Excellent analytical and numeracy skills for forecasting and reporting.
Certification in procurement (such as CIPS) is an added advantage.
Strong integrity and commitment to ethical purchasing practices.
