As the Sales Manager for South Africa, based in Durban, you will lead the business development initiatives for the petrochemicals sector. This role involves analyzing market trends to identify growth opportunities and leading sales efforts within industries like rubber, adhesives, and flexible packaging. You will be responsible for contract negotiations and ensuring that all operations meet local regulatory and environmental standards.

You will manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and pipeline management to order fulfillment and customer service. Monitoring competitor activities, including pricing and payment alternatives, is a key part of the role. You will also oversee logistics and supply chain tasks, ensuring that sea shipments and transport regulations are managed efficiently to meet customer demand.

Key Requirements

Must be a citizen or permanent resident of South Africa. Technical Degree or Chemical Engineering degree. MBA in International Business preferred. 8 to 15 years of experience in Petrochemical sales. Proficiency in English and local languages. Must have a valid driving license. Expertise in marketing chemicals and solvents in local markets. Knowledge of South African government procedures and customs rules. Strong capabilities in people management and sales strategy. Experience in managing SEA shipments and logistics.
