HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT (HSE) OFFICER @ IMPERIUM OPES GROUP LTD
Imperium Opes Group Ltd is actively seeking a highly proactive and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to become a vital member of our dedicated QHSE team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in cultivating and sustaining a secure, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environment. This involves diligently implementing the Company's Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring strict adherence to all legal and client requirements, and fostering a robust safety-first culture across all our operational facets. This role is crucial for maintaining our high standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
The core responsibilities of this position encompass a wide range of HSE activities. These include implementing and maintaining HSE Management Systems in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, conducting thorough workplace inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments, and investigating all accidents, incidents, and near misses to ensure effective corrective actions. The HSE Officer will also be responsible for coordinating HSE induction training, toolbox talks, emergency drills, and various safety awareness programs. Further duties involve administering the Permit-to-Work system, monitoring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use, promoting environmental compliance through waste management and spill prevention, and supporting emergency preparedness. Key Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A recognized professional HSE certification is mandatory (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, or equivalent).
Minimum of 2-3 years' relevant experience in Health, Safety and Environment.
Sound knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation.
Proven ability to implement and maintain HSE Management Systems in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
Strong incident investigation, hazard identification, and risk assessment skills.
Excellent report writing, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct training and safety awareness programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
