COMMUNITY OUTREACH OFFICER (DISABILITY AND EDUCATION FIELDS) @ IBO ITALIA
IBO Italia is seeking a dedicated Community Outreach Officer to join their team in Iringa, Tanzania. This role is pivotal in promoting advocacy and sensitization efforts within community and school settings, specifically focusing on disability and education sectors. The officer will work under the Project Manager to enhance awareness, strengthen community engagement, and lead communication initiatives to support inclusive educational practices for all members of the community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting field outreach activities, including household visits and the organization of large-scale awareness campaigns. They will serve as a bridge between families, schools, and local institutions, fostering collaboration to ensure that education is accessible to all. This position requires a professional who is field-oriented, flexible, and capable of working both independently and as part of a diverse team in rural environments, ensuring that project goals are met through diplomatic and problem-solving approaches.

Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Communication, Social Work, Education or related fields.
At least 2 years of experience in community work, outreach or advocacy.
Previous working experience on disability, inclusive education, or social inclusion sectors.
Previous working experience with NGOs in a field-based capacity.
Experience in facilitating community engagement activities and participatory approaches.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Swahili.
Ability to design and deliver awareness campaigns and training sessions effectively.
Sound knowledge of communication tools including social media and content creation.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a rural context.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive, flexible attitude toward field work.
