DIVISION LEAD, SOLAR ENERGY @ HSD MELT
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Division Lead for our Solar Energy department in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction of the solar division, ensuring operational excellence, and driving significant business growth within the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to successfully manage complex solar projects and lead a high-performing team toward achieving organizational goals. As the primary head of the solar division, your responsibilities will include high-level stakeholder engagement, fostering partnerships with government and private entities, and staying abreast of industry trends to maintain a competitive edge. You will oversee project lifecycles from initial feasibility studies through to installation and maintenance, ensuring all safety and quality standards are strictly met. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about sustainability and dedicated to providing clean energy solutions that contribute to the development of Tanzania's energy infrastructure.
Key Requirements
At least 8 years of professional experience in the solar energy or renewable energy sector.
Proven track record in a leadership or senior management role within a technical environment.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Business Administration.
Deep understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and energy storage technologies.
Strong experience in project lifecycle management, including budgeting and resource allocation.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing high-level stakeholder relationships.
Knowledge of the Tanzanian energy regulatory framework and environmental compliance standards.
Ability to analyze market trends and develop successful business expansion strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical and operational challenges.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swahili is an added advantage for local coordination.
